Sleeve, doublet sleeve
Men's sleeve, from a doublet, of brown uncut silk velvet stamped with symmetrical flower and geometrical motifs; sleeve flared from upper wrist to top of arm in six sections with retaining stitches at two points round lower arm; all edges bordered with brown satin embroided in a simple stylised manner. Lined with toning brown satin stamped with a similar pattern. Originally fastened at wrist with seven buttons, now missing. Hand stitched, Italian velvet and satin, probably English in construction.
