This trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at the sign of the Wheatsheaf and Three Birds, in Long Lane, Smithfield.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1818; Obv inscription: RAINBIRD.DVGDALE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENY (around field, in Roman capitals); Rev inscription: AT.YE.IN.LONGE.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A wheatsheaf and three birds (in field).
