Doll
Doll with moveable bisque head on a stuffed cream kid body, painted facial fetures, blonde mohair wig and blue glass eyes. Doll wears a dress of lime-green silk taffeta, trimmed with cream lace and white glass beads; hat is made of woodchip and straw decorated with black 'grapes'; blue leather boots; gilt metal earrings (one now missing) and lorgnette of gilt metal and glass.
Doll was possibly made by the Parisian firm of Bru. The parasol does not appear to match the ensemble.
This doll is featured on page 13 of the Museum of London's catalogue, 'Dolls', published in 1986.
