The Three Legs
Thomas Mayhew issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at the sign of the Three Legs, in Fleet Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1086A. Obv inscription: THOMAS.MAYHEW.AT.THE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three legs (in field); Rev inscription: 3.LEGS.FLEET.STREET (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = T.P.M. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
