Tray, inkwells
This tray of inkwells was collected from a classroom at the Royal Wanstead School upon its closure in 1971. The school was originally founded as the Infant Orphan Asylum by the philanthropist Andrew Reed. The foundation stone at Wanstead was laid by Prince Albert in 1841 with many influential figures from the government in attendance. Today the building houses Snaresbrook Crown Court.
