Medal
This medal carries the bust of George I, and on the reverse the King is shown in royal robes seated in a chair formed from a shell, crowned by the figure of Britannia holding her spear and shield. It was produced by the medallist John Croker, who was an engraver for the Royal Mint. The medal commemorates the coronation of George I in 1714. He was Elector of Hanover in Germany when he became King of England.
