Coin
This coin is amongst the earliest British coins derived from bullion assumed to have been brought into Britain around the time of the Roman conquest of France in the 50s BC. Coin found at Heathrow in the 1940s, picked up off the surface near the archaeological excavations by W. F. Grimes. Found in soil moved during the construction of the runway. Ex-Henry Mossop collection.
