Phial, test-tube unguentarium
Glass phial, natural green-blue. Moderate quality glass, with occasional long bubbles. Some iridescence and weathering, heavier inside neck. Parts present: neck, body, base. Isings form 8. Constriction at bottom of neck. Base only slightly flattened, with faint pontil mark. Original rim lost, but neck turns out slightly at the top, has been broken off cleanly and lightly ground - perhaps a re-working to keep the phial in service when the true rim had become chipped or broken.
