Coin, quinarius
A silver quinarius coin of the Roman Republic. The coin depicts Jupiter, king of the Roman gods and Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. This coin was minted under the authority of the moneyer, T. Cloulius, in Rome, Italy, c. 100-97 BC.
Obv: Laureate head of Jupiter, facing right. Rev: Victory, standing right, holding a palm and crowning a trophy placed on the head of a Gaulish captive, with a carynx (trumpet) behind. Rev inscription: T CLOVLI, Q in exergue.
