A copper alloy nummus of the House of Valentinian, the ruling dynasty of the Roman Empire, AD 364-378. The back of the coin depicts Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. This coin was minted in Arelate (modern day Arles, France), AD 364-378.
Obv: Draped, diademed bust of the emperor, facing right. Obv inscription: Illegible. Rev: Victory, advancing left, holding a wreath in her right hand and a palm in the left. Rev inscription: [SECVRI]TAS REIPVBLICAE, [P]CON in exergue.
