A copper alloy nummus of Emperor Valens, ruler of the Eastern Roman Empire, AD 364-378. The back of the coin depicts Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. This coin was minted in AD 364-378.
Obv: Draped, diademed bust of Valens, facing right. Obv inscription: DN VALENS P F AVG. Rev: Victory, standing left, holding a wreath in her right hand and a palm in the left. Rev inscription: [SECVR]ITAS REIPVBLICAE.
