A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Tetricus I, ruler of the Romano-Gallic Empire, AD 271-274. The back of the coin depicts Salus, the female personification of health. This coin was minted in the Gallic Empire, unidentified mint I, AD 271-274.
Obv: Cuirassed and radiate bust of Tetricus I, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP C TETRICVS P F AVG. Rev: Salus, standing left, holding an anchor/rudder in her left hand and feeding a serpent rising from an altar to the left from a patera (dish) held in her right hand. Rev inscription: SALVS AVGG.
