Coin, radiate
A base silver radiate coin of Emperor Gallienus, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 253-268. Gallienus ruled alongside his father, Valerian, AD 253-260, and alone, AD 260-268. The back of the coin depicts a centaur. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 260-268.
Obv: Radiate head of Gallienus facing right. Obv inscription: GALLIENVS AVG. Rev: A centaur, walking left, holding a globe and a trophy. Rev inscription: APOLLINI CONS AVG, H in exergue.
