Coin, nummus AE1
A copper alloy nummus of Emperor Constantius Chlorus, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 293-306. This coin was issued by Constantius' son Constantine the Great after his death in Eboracum (York), AD 306. The back of the coin depicts an altar. This coin was minted in Londinium (modern day London), AD 307-310.
Obv: Cuirassed, draped and laureate bust of Constantius I, facing right. Obv inscription: DIVO CONSTANTIO PIO. Rev: A lighted altar flanked by two eagles. Rev inscription: MEMORIA FELIX, PLN in exergue.
