Coin, radiate
A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Allectus, ruler of the Romano-British Empire, AD 293-296. The back of the coin depicts Laetitia, the female personification of happiness and joy. This coin was minted in Camulodunum (modern day Colchester), AD 293-296.
Obv: Radiate bust of Allectus, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP C ALLECTVS P F I AVG. Rev: Laetitia, standing left, holding a wreath in her right hand and an anchor in the left. Rev inscription: LAETITIA AVG, SP in field, CL in exergue.
