Coin, radiate
A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Carausius, ruler of the Romano-British Empire, AD 293-296. The back of the coin depicts Pax, the Roman goddess of peace. This coin was minted in Londinium (modern day London), AD 293-296.
Obv: Cuirassed and radiate bust of Carausius, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG. Rev: Pax, standing left, holding an olive branch in her right hand and a vertical sceptre in the left. Rev inscription: [PAX] AVG, SP in field, ML in exergue.
