Axehead, polished axehead
Ground and polished axehead of greenstone, with a thick oval section, a fairly thin, damaged butt, and a lighter band around the middle left by the haft. Source of stone: South-west England. Type of stone: uralitized gabbro, epidiorite or greenstone (sectioned: Group IA). This type of stone is rare beyond the South west.
