Coin, radiate
A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Aurelian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 270-275. The back of the coin depicts the emperor with Roma, the female personification of Rome. This coin was minted in Mediolanum (modern day Milan, Italy), AD 270-275.
Obv: Cuirassed and radiate bust of Aurelian, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP AVRELIANVS AVG. Rev: Aurelian, standing left, before a seated Roma, Roma is holding Victory in her extended right hand and a sceptre in the left. Rev inscription: ROMAE AETERNAE, Q in exergue.
