A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Claudius II, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 268-270. The back of the coin depicts Fides, the Roman goddess of trust. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 268-270.
Obv: Radiate head of Claudius II, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CLAVDIVS AVG. Rev: Fides, standing left, holding a military standard in her right hand and a spear in the left. Rev inscription: FIDES MILITVM, E in field (right).
