A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Claudius II, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 268-270. The back of the coin depicts Sol, the Roman sun god. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 268-270.
Obv: Radiate head of Claudius II, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CLAV[DIVS AVG]. Rev: Sol, standing left, raising his right hand and holding a globe in the left. Rev inscription: AETERNIT AVG. Possibly a cast copy.
