A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Tetricus I, ruler of the Romano-Gallic Empire, AD 271-274. The back of the coin depicts Spes, the female personification of hope. This coin was minted in the Gallic Empire, unidentified mint I, AD 271-274.
Obv: Draped, cuirassed and radiate bust of Tetricus I, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP C TETRICVS P F AVG. Rev: Spes, advancing left, holding a flower in her extended right hand and raising the hem of her dress with the left. Rev inscription: SPES PVBLICA.
