Axehead, polished axehead
Ground and polished stone axehead with flattened oval section, thin pointed butt and damaged cutting edge. The upper part of the butt is roughened, possibly where it was hafted. Source of stone: near Callington, Cornwall. Type of stone: altered picrite (sectioned: Group IV).
