Coin, denarius
A silver denarius coin of Lucius Verus, Roman co-emperor with Marcus Aurelius, AD 161-169. The back of the coin depicts Fortuna, the female personification of fortune. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 167-168.
Obv: Laureate head of Lucius Verus, facing right. Obv inscription: L VERVS AVG ARM PARTH MAX. Rev: Fortuna, seated left on a low seat, holding a rudder in her right hand and a cornucopia in the left. Rev inscription: FORT RED TR P VIII IMP V, CO[S III] in exergue.
