Coin, dupondius
A copper alloy dupondius coin of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 161-180. The back of the coin depicts Marcus Aurelius and his co-emperor, Lucius Verus. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 161.
Obv: Radiate head of Marcus Aurelius, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CAES M AVREL ANTONINVS AVG PM. Rev: Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus, standing left and right, clasping right hands, and holding scrolls in the left. Rev inscription: CONCORD AVGVSTOR [TR P X]V, S[C] in field, COS III in exergue.
