Coin, dupondius
A copper alloy dupondius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts a military trophy. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 103-111.
Obv: Radiate head of Trajan, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC PM TR P COS V PP. Rev: A military trophy, consisting of a helmet, cuirass, hexagonal and round shields. Rev inscription: SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI, SC in field.
