Coin, sestertius
A copper alloy sestertius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts the female personification of Arabia. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 104-111.
Obv: Laureate bust of Trajan, facing right, left shoulder draped. Obv inscription: [IMP CAES NERVAE] TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P[M TR P COS V]. Rev: Arabia, standing front, head left, holding a bundle of canes and a branch, with a camel by her side. Rev inscription: SPQR OP[TIMO P]RINCIPI, SC in field, ARAB AD QVIS in exergue.
