Coin, radiate
A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Postumus, ruler of the Romano-Gallic Empire, AD 260-269. The back of the coin depicts Fides, the Roman goddess of trust. This coin was minted at the principle mint(s) of the Gallic Empire, AD 260-261.
Obv: Draped, cuirassed and radiate bust of Postumus, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP C POSTVMVS P [F AVG]. Rev: Fides, standing left, holding two military standards. Rev inscription: FIDES MILITVM. Part of a hoard from Fenchurch Street, City of London, 1926.
