A base silver radiate coin of Emperor Postumus, ruler of the Romano-Gallic Empire, AD 260-269. The back of the coin depicts Pax, the Roman goddess of peace. This coin was minted at the principle mint(s) of the Gallic Empire, AD 268.
Obv: Draped, cuirassed and radiate bust of Postumus, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP C POSTVMVS P F AVG. Rev: Pax, standing left, holding an olive branch in her extended right hand and a transverse sceptre in the left. Rev inscription: PAX AVG, P in field (left).
