Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales
The Princess of Wales in Court Dress. Fashion plate from La Belle Assemblée, 4 June 1807. Queen Charlotte insisted that these awkward hooped dresses and long trains be worn at official court functions; abandoned by the French court they continued in England until 1820. Mrs Webb of Pall Mall supplied goods, perhaps dresses, to the young Princess Charlotte.
