A copper alloy sestertius coin of Emperor Philip I, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 244-249. The back of the coin depicts Felicitas, the female personification of prosperity. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 244-249.
Obv: Draped, cuirassed and laureate bust of Philip I, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG. Rev: Felicitas, standing front, facing left, holding a caduceus (a winged staff held by messengers and heralds) in her right hand and a cornucopia in the left. Rev inscription: PM TR P IIII COS II PP, SC in field.
