A silver denarius coin of Emperor Severus Alexander, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 222-235. The back of the coin depicts Aequitas, the female personification of fair-dealing. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 222-228.
Obv: Draped and laureate bust of Severus Alexander, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG. Rev: Aequitas, standing left, holding scales in her right hand and a cornucopia in the left. Rev inscription: AEQVITAS AVG.
