Coin, denarius
A silver denarius coin of Emperor Septimius Severus, the Roman Emperor from 98-117AD. On the front of the coin the laureate bust of Septimius Severus faces right. The inscription reads: IMP CAE L SE[P SEV PERT] AVG. On the reverse, a legionary eagle, perching between two military standards. The inscription reads: [LEG XIIII] GEMMV. TRP COS in exergue. This coin was minted in Rome. It was struck in 193AD.
