A copper alloy sestertius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts the emperor. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 115-116.
Obv: Draped and laureate bust of Trajan, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CA[ES N]ER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER [DAC PM TR P COS VI PP]. Rev: Trajan, seated right on a platform, raising his right hand and addressing a group of soldiers. Rev inscription: IMPERATOR VIII / SC in exergue.
