A silver denarius coin of Emperor Trajan, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 98-117. The back of the coin depicts the Graeco-Roman hero Hercules. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 101-102.
Obv: Laureate head of Trajan, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CAES NERVA TRAIAN AVG GERM. Rev: Hercules, standing front, holding a club in his right hand, with a lion skin draped over his left arm. Rev inscription: PM TR P COS IIII PP.
