Biface
Flint biface or handaxe, sometimes called a 'bout coupé'. Slightly lustrous with patinated surface. Probably made and used by Neanderthals - a Mousterian of Acheulian tradition (MAT) type tool. Found at Clayton's gravel pit, Yiewsley on 11 June 1913. Part of the Robert Garraway Rice collection.
