Coin, dupondius
A copper alloy dupondius coin of Emperor Vespasian, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 69-79. The back of the coin depicts an eagle. This coin was minted in Lugdunum (modern day Lyon, France), AD 71-72.
Obv: Laureate head of Vespasian, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CAESAR VESP[ASIAN] AVG COS [IIII](?). Rev: An eagle, standing on a globe, head right. Rev inscription: S[C] in field.
