Coin, sestertius
A copper alloy sestertius coin of Emperor Nero, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 54-68. The back of the coin depicts Roma, the female personification of Rome. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 64-68.
Obv: Laureate head of Nero, facing right. Obv inscription: NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER PM TR P IMP PP. Rev: Roma, seated left on a cuirass, holding Victory in her extended right hand and resting her left hand on a parazonium. Rev inscription: SC in field, ROMA in exergue.
