A copper alloy as coin of Emperor Nero, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 54-68. The back of the coin depicts the Temple of Janus. This coin was minted in Rome, Italy, AD 64-68.
Obv: Laureate head of Nero, facing right, small globe at point of bust. Obv inscription: IM[P NERO] CAESAR AVG GERM. Rev: The façade of the Temple of Janus, the Roman god of beginnings and transitions. Rev inscription: PACE [PR VBIQ PA]RTA IANVM CLVSIT, SC in field.
