Drill bit, centre drill bit
This centre drill bit forms part of a group of tools contained in a fine early 19th century toolchest. Many of the tools are marked 'W Gray'. The drill bit was made by B Hobson & Son. It was perhaps not one of the original compliment of tools in the chest. Centre drill bits attached to a brace were used to bore wide shallow holes.
