Working History — 1820-1870
Screw box
This screwbox forms part of a group of tools contained in a fine early 19th century toolchest. Many of the tools are marked W Gray. The screwbox is marked with initials 'M B M' and names 'Greene' and 'Hawksworth & Feneston'. It was possibly not part of the original compliment of tools in the chest. A screwbox was used to cut threads on spindles or pegs.
