Knife, carpenter's drawing knife
This drawing knife with wooden handle forms part of a group of tools contained in a fine early 19th century toolchest. Many of the tools are marked W Gray. The drawing knife has no owner's name and was possibly not part of the original compliment of tools in the chest. Such tools were used for removing surplus wood as well as rounding and chamfering.
