South-west sheet (ninth sheet) of a large map titled ‘London’. Map’s title ‘London (South East Sheet)’, published by Weekly Dispatch, located at Fleet Street, London in 1862. Drawn and engraved by Edward Weller, located at Red Lion Square, London. Shows the south-west region of London. Extent: Isle of Dogs, Market Gardens, Gloucester Road, Wapping. Trademark or decoration features a flying Hermes or Mercury over river view of Thames, overlooking North bank with St. Paul’s Cathedral in the background. Handwritten notes on backing card reads, ‘IX. London 1862 (South-east)’.
