Prehistoric — Late Iron Age; 100 BCE - 50 CE
Spearhead
A Late Iron Age iron spearhead with fragment of the ash wood shaft, dating 100 BCE to 50 CE.
This spearhead was found on the same stretch of foreshore as several other significant Iron Age artefacts and human bones. This area seems to be a focus of activity relating to deliberately placing important people and objects into the river or an eyot within the river.
