Small wooden figure of an Egyptian dog-headed god painted black, green yellow, brown, red; possibly owned by John Hargrave.
The woodcrafter Leslie Paul visited Hargrave's home in the early 1920s and noted ''There were little models which he had made – or perhaps collected – of the dog-headed god Anubis which Hargrave seemed to regard as a personal symbol .. They were fascinating but they made me uneasy. They reminded me that there was in the new movement a credulous wing ready to tinker with the occult.'
