Trunk
Travelling trunks like this one were usually used to store personal possessions. It was made by Richard Dixon, a trunk maker in Holborn. The trunk has a patterned green leather finish. The lid is studded with the initials 'E.B', probably those of its original owner. Trunks commonly featured studded decorative designs in this period. The lid also features a brass lion's head handle.
