Workmen's Trains and Trams
London train and tram timetable combined with particulars of homes for workmen constructed by the London County Council. It Includes photographs and detailed particulars of LCC estates including the White Hart Lane, Tottenham, Totterdown Fields, Tooting and Old Oak Estate, Hammersmith. On the cover is a sepia photograph of a home on the White Hart Lane estate. The timetable has 142 illustrated pages and was sold for 1d. Cheaper Trains and tram services made the suburbs more accessible to the working class. Most LCC tenants were skilled workers with a regular income such as clerks, policemen and engineers.
