The Quid or Tales of my Messmates
Flyer publicising the publication 'The Quid, or Tales of my messmates: being a collection of yarns, ditties, Quid-ditties, and Od-ditties by a steerage passenger. Headed with the name and address of the tobacconist and cigar importer J Benoimont, located at 2 Myddleton Quadrant, Spafields the advertisement includes a four verse 'ditty' taken from the publication . The frontispiece of the book published by W Strange in 1832 notes that it could be purchased at Benoimont's Cigar Divan at Myddleton Quadrant.
