In the late 19th and early 20th century, the supply of fixtures and fittings for churches was a major London industry. Thomas Pratt & Sons of Covent Garden were known especially as clerical tailors and robe makers although they had a supporting business as general church furnishers. Other leading London church furnishers at this period included Cox & Sons and Watts & Co.
This small trade catalogue of illustrates a range of gravestone designs. The firm is described as monumental masons, sculptors and letter engravers. A price list of the numbered gravestone designs is printed on the reverse. Two materials are listed - Sicilian marble and Portland stone.
