Handbill, flyer
Printed handbill or flyer publicising the business of Thomas Bennett and Company, tea and coffee merchants located at
37 Little Pulteney Street, St James's. Printed by H.Court the handbill is headed 'Keep your eye on the Corporal' suggesting this was a common phrase at the time. In this instance the phrase is applied to Thomas Bennett referred to as 'The Corporal of the Tea Trade'. and the handbill urges customers to keep their eye on the the low price and high quality of goods supplied by the firm. The leaflet includes a price list for black tea, green tea and coffee sold by the firm.
