Billhead, invoice
Copper-engraved billhead with handwritten invoice issued by the draper Daniel Legg located at the Golden Leg at the corner of Birchin Lane in Cornhill. The billhead includes an engraving of the tradesman's sign of a stockinged leg. Dated February 1742 the handwritten invoice refers to the supply of 'fine drab' an ubleached coarse hemp fabric.
